Cyber Security Incident Response solutions architecture to support NIST and FISMA regulations
With the increase of sensitive information being stored on computer systems today, businesses are faced with the growing challenge of protecting sensitive information. In 2003 the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) Implementation Project was established to help address this growing challenge. The FISMA Implementation Project was designed to produce several key security standards and guidelines required by Congressional legislation.
In light of the growing concerns and new regulations around cyber security, our customers asked us a simple question.

Of course our focus has been on Service Management and Service Desks, so we asked what is FISMA and what exactly is Cyber Security.
So we began our journey of getting a better understanding of FISMA, Cyber Security, and how to help our customers face their challenges.
Once we had a better understanding of FISMA, Cyber Security, and the challenges our customers were facing we were able to develop a solution using the BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite of applications.
Our goal was to design a solution that not only met the challenges, but was scalable to meet future needs and utilized the full potential of the out of box applications. This approach ensures our customers receive a long term return on investment and the ability to meet ongoing changes in regulations.
